The AutoWind flyer is what makes spinning a beautiful, level-wound bobbin without the hassle of stopping to move guides—just turn it on and spin, spin, spin. No need to worry while pre-drafting or prepping; just prep and the AutoWinder will catch up. The AutoWinder can use any bobbin listed below because there’s no need for gear-driven bobbins—we’re all-electric, powered by two small AAA batteries that will last a long, long time.
Indicator lights built into the housing provide clear visual feedback. Twist direction indicators for S and Z brighten and dim with speed control, while the power light signals when your spinner is active or off—also indicated by the foot switch (not included in this kit).
Bobbins... We engineered compatibility into every detail. This spinner accepts any bobbin double drive or single drive with a 4–4.75 inches (100–120mm) overall length and 1/4 inch shaft (6mm). Larger 5/16 and 3/8 inch shafts (8/10mm) work with our optional bobbin reducer bushings, so you’re not locked into a single ecosystem.

What is the Ghostling made of? The same high-quality, American-made materials we use in everything we make: carbon fiber-infused nylon, a high-heat sustainable material used in the automotive and aircraft industries; P95 high-impact acrylic for the base and controller housing; and stainless steel for all bearing surfaces. A lot of these materials are excessive for the application, but they’re the best—and we like that :)
